Cariitti Starry Sky Sauna Fibre Optic Lighting

The Cariitti Starry Sky is a glass fibre optic lighting system designed for sauna construction and sauna interior projects. It creates a starry sky effect in the sauna ceiling using 75 heat-resistant glass optical fibres and a dedicated LED projector.

The system is suitable for private saunas, home wellness areas, villas, hotels, spas and commercial sauna projects in Cyprus and across Europe.

Fibre Optic Sauna Ceiling Lighting

Cariitti Starry Sky provides a practical solution for creating decorative sauna ceiling lighting without installing electrical components inside the hot area.

The glass optical fibres transmit light from the projector and can withstand temperatures of up to 180°C. They are designed for installation directly into the sauna ceiling.

The warm 2700K light complements natural timber, thermowood, stone and other materials commonly used in sauna construction.

With Ra > 90 colour rendering, the lighting provides natural and comfortable illumination.

The Cariitti Starry Sky system can be integrated during the construction or renovation of a sauna ceiling. The fibre optic points can be distributed according to the interior design, creating anything from a subtle scattered effect to a more visible starry sky.

The projector can be installed under the sauna benches or in another suitable location. Maximum installation height: 80 cm from the floor.

Installation Notes

The glass fibres must not be cut on site. Avoid sharp 90° bends, kinking, crushing or nailing the fibres.

The projector should remain accessible for servicing. The optical fibres themselves contain no electrical wiring or electronic components.
