From engineered timber frame to a fully finished luxury outdoor sauna

Just three months ago, this project was an engineered timber frame. Today, it has become a fully completed premium outdoor sauna, designed, engineered and delivered for our client in Cyprus.
From the beginning, the goal was clear: to create an outdoor sauna that would not only look exceptional on completion day, but also perform reliably for many years in the demanding Cypriot climate.
Every element of the sauna was carefully selected around this principle.
From Structure to Finished Sauna

The project began with an engineered timber structure, carefully prepared to accommodate the insulation, ventilation, electrical systems, interior finishes and sauna equipment.
Much of the work that determines the long-term performance of a sauna remains hidden behind the finished surfaces. This is why we focus heavily on engineering and construction details from the very beginning.
A Bespoke Outdoor Sauna Designed for Cyprus
Pieksäwood SOLA exterior cladding and panoramic glazing.
The exterior is finished with Pieksäwood SOLA cladding, selected for its architectural appearance and suitability for demanding outdoor conditions.
Inside, we used HT Black Alder by Pieksäwood, creating a warm and elegant interior designed to remain stable under the extreme temperatures and high humidity of a sauna environment.
The panoramic window creates a strong visual connection between the sauna and the surrounding landscape.
Professional Sauna Equipment & Engineering
EOS Bi-O sauna heater and custom-engineered sauna interior.
At the heart of the sauna is a professional EOS Saunatechnik Bi-O heater, supported by a fully custom-designed ventilation system engineered specifically for this project.
The benches are reinforced to withstand loads of up to 500 kg/m², providing exceptional rigidity and long-term reliability.
These are the details that may not immediately be visible, but they make a significant difference to the performance and durability of a premium sauna.
Himalayan Salt & Architectural Lighting
Backlit Himalayan salt and integrated Cariitti lighting.
Seven backlit rows of Himalayan salt create a distinctive architectural feature, while the premium lighting system from Cariitti highlights the timber, salt elements and architectural details.
The lighting was designed as an integral part of the sauna rather than simply added as an accessory.
The Final Result
The completed outdoor sauna illuminated at dusk.
Even the exterior lighting is intelligent — it automatically switches on at dusk thanks to a built-in daylight sensor.
The finished space combines natural timber, professional sauna technology, architectural lighting and carefully engineered details into one cohesive wellness environment.
